You're Invited to a Murder!

    It's the summer of 1905 in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas.  You have been invited to a party at a Victorian mansion in the "Silk Stocking District" of the resort city of Eureka Springs, Northwest Arkansas.  Cyrus K. Conrail, railroad baron and president of the newly opened Eureka Springs & Northwest Arkansas Railroad Company, is throwing a party to dedicate and celebrate the opening of his railroad from Eureka Springs to St. Louis.  He has invited investors, community members, family, and acquaintances who have contributed to the creation of the railroad.

    Most city residents welcome and anticipate the boon to their city with the arrival of the railroad. However, the coming of the railroad is not without controversy.  Then, there are the greedy and covetous friends and relatives of Mr. Cyrus Conrail; a man who would never describe himself as a paragon of virtue and civility, much less be described as such by his family, friends, and business associates… Suddenly a scream is heard!    Who dies?   And who did it??

A Bed and Breakfast Mystery Weekend

    As a participant during the weekend, you will assume the character of one of Cyrus K. Conrail's invitees.  Your character and active roll-playing will be important to the solution of the mystery.  You'll be provided with a character outline and a few clues about his or her involvement in the mystery.  From there you are free to play your part any way you like whatever your comfort level - shy and retiring or outrageous and boisterous.  There is no acting experience required; all you need is a desire to have fun.   

The Bed and Breakfast Murder Mystery Package includes:

• Two night stay (Friday and Saturday) at either inn (price dependent on room)
• Cocktail party/reception Friday evening to kick-off the mystery
• Full breakfast each morning at your inn
• Dessert and clue discovery gathering Saturday morning
• Around-town clue hunt in the afternoon
• Buffet dinner Saturday night where after you've done your sleuthing, you'll get a chance to expose the murderer!  

1881 Crescent Cottage Inn Package Prices: $399 - $499 (depending on your choice of room.)  Please check with The Bridgeford House for their package prices.

Reservations: Please call us at  800-223-3246 to reserve your Bed and Breakfast Murder Mystery Package at The 1881 Crescent Cottage Inn.  There is room for 18 total participants between our two inns, and reservations will be made on a first-come, first served basis.  To reserve this weekend we require 50% deposit by April 2, 2010.  Please contact the Bridgeford House at 888-567-2422 to book accommodations there.  Reservations at The 1881 Crescent Cottage Inn are subject to all other policies as stated on this website.

Cancellation Policy: There is a $75.00 non-refundable cancellation fee for all Murder Mystery Weekend reservations made, regardless of cancellation date.  Because individual participation is critical to the success and enjoyment for all our guests, cancellations received after March 26, 2010 will result in forfeiture of the 50% deposit.  No refunds can be given on the forfeited deposit.  Cancelled reservations are also subject to all other policies as stated on this website.
